Target has confirmed publicly that unauthorized access to payment card data may have impacted as many as 40 million guests, who made credit and debit card purchases in their United States stores from November 27 to December 15, 2013.
Select Bank is taking every appropriate measure to protect you, our customer, from fraud. This includes the use of sophisticated fraud filters to monitor our debit cards.
If you used your Select Bank debit card in a Target store between November 27 to December 15, 2013, we recommend that you contact us immediately so we can block your current debit card and reissue you a new one. Please call us at 434.455.1700 so that we can assist you.
We always encourage you to monitor your accounts for any unauthorized activity. You can monitor your accounts by reviewing your statements, monitoring your account activity via Select Online Banking or via Select Mobile Banking. It is important to note, as a Select Bank customer, you will not be held liable for any unauthorized charges on your debit card.
